I’ve been wanting a smile makeover for some time, but just can’t afford porcelain veneers. My teeth are stained and I have a small chip on my front tooth. Is there anything affordable?
Elaine K. – Ohio
Elaine,
There’s nothing worse then not being able to afford something we know would be good for us. Having a beautiful smile makes us more confident, which affectst the way people view us, especially first impressions.
Just because you can’t afford porcelain veneers, doesn’t mean you’re without hope. The best thing you can do for your smile in a more affordable way is to get professional teeth whitening done. It will take years off your appearance and get rid of those stains.
As far as the chip goes, if it isn’t too large, the easiest and most affordable solution is dental bonding. That is where your cosmetic dentist will add some composite resin to your tooth where the chip is, making it look like there is natural tooth structure there. Between that and the whitening, I think you’ll be pretty pleased with your new look until you can do something drastic.
