What Problems Does TeethXpress Solve?

Traditional upper dentures cover the entire palate and are held in place by suction. Many denture wearers experience a loss of enjoyment when they eat because the taste buds located in the palate are covered. The palate covering can also make it more difficult to pronounce certain words clearly. Lower dentures have even more problems. Since there is no suction, they are held in place by your tongue and cheeks. It takes training to learn to keep them in place, and they can still slip at embarrassing moments. TeethXpress Prevents Bone Loss

More importantly, the dental implants used in TeethXpress prevent the bone loss that always follows the loss of teeth, and can stop it from developing into facial collapse. When we lose a tooth, the body absorbs the minerals in the jawbone where that tooth used to be. This bone loss begins immediately after the loss and continues for years. When we have no teeth, this bone loss can lead to facial collapse within as few as ten or twenty years. This is why dentures tend to need to be remade or relined every few years.

Facial collapse means that the bony ridges that support dentures are almost gone. The corresponding loss of chewing efficiency relegates many people to eating only soft foods, and this can have serious health consequences. Dental implants keep the jaw strong and healthy by preventing bone loss in the areas where they are placed.

How Does TeethXpress Work?

As with other forms of implant-supported dentures TeethXpress uses dental implants to support your dentures, but with TeethXpress, only four to six implants are needed. In addition, Dr. Cha will typically be able to complete the implant procedure within about three to four hours, and you can walk out the same day with your new teeth in place.
